Bluestreaks Club is looking for junior field hockey players to join team Thunder, which is part of the U18 indoor league.
Indoor is a fast-paced game played on a gym floor with boards. It’s a great way to keeping up with field hockey through the winter and improving your stick handling and passing skills! For high school students who intend to play outdoor next spring, it’s a fantastic way of getting started in the sport.

- Games are 6 vs. 6 including a goalkeeper
- Players get a lot of time on the ball (and it’s a ton of fun!)
- All levels (beginners included!) are welcome
- Schedule for the season is games on Sundays and practices on Monday nights

Practices:
- Location: North Glenmore Park Community, 2231 Longridge Drive, SW
- Time: 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
- Fall Dates: September 29, October 6, 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17, 24, December 1 & 8
- Winter Dates: January 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9, 23, March 2, 9 & 16
Program/Games:
- Location: MNP Centre, 2225 Macleod Trail, SE
- Date/Time: Sundays (game times vary week to week)
- Tournaments: There will be two mini tournaments on December 13 and March 15
- Length: The season starts in November and runs until March 2026
Fees:
- Annual Registration/Insurance Fee: $56 paid to Field Hockey Alberta online here.
- Player Dues: $300 for league play plus $25 for each tournament
Equipment Required:
- Shin guards, mouth guard, indoor stick, gym shoes, shorts, water bottle, and gloves (optional)
- Team shirt and socks (colours are orange and white)
- Reversible shirt is provided for the season
- Socks are included with the fees
