Spring 2024 Outdoor Junior Field Hockey League
The Bluestreaks Club junior team THUNDER is looking for outdoor players!
Outdoor league games are played at the University Hawkings Field on Sundays. We strive for 11 vs 11 games (including goalkeeper). All levels welcome. This is a great way to complement your High School field hockey skills and/or switch sports for the spring from ringette/ice hockey. Age groups are U12/U14/U16 but beginner U18s are also welcome.
Equipment required includes:
- Shin guards, mouth guard, stick (can be rented), shoes (no cleats), shorts, water bottle, gloves (optional)
- Team shirt & socks (colours: orange/white); reversible shirt provided for the season and socks included with fees
- To buy sticks/gloves you can reach out to Sohail.
Season:
- Games: Sundays, U of C Hawkings Field
- Practices: Wednesdays, 8:00-9:30 p.m., Viper Dome, 2255 Crowchild Trail
- Starts: April 17, 2024 (games start May 5)
- Ends: June 23, 2024
- Includes two festivals: Lacombe, May 26 & Calgary, June 23
- Fees: $280-$300
